Newark man charged after allegedly biting victim, stealing cellphone

NEWARK - The following people appeared before Licking County Common Pleas Court Magistrate Mattie Klein for bond hearings. The cases may be reviewed by a grand jury for possible indictment and additional charges.

Carla R. Stonecipher, 49, last known address 2288 W. High St., Lot 27, Newark, was charged with one count aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 15, Stonecipher was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $5,000 personal recognizance.

Elton C. Claybon, 35, last known address 2132 Shoreham Dr., Florissant, Missouri, was charged with one count carrying concealed weapons, a fourth-degree felony.

On April 15, Claybon was suspected of having a firearm in his truck in a bag behind the passenger seat, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $5,000.

Tate A. Clay, 24, last known address 48 Madison Ave., Newark, was charged with one count robbery, a second-degree felony.

On April 16, Clay was suspected of breaking into a Newark home, demanding the victim's cell phone, and attacking the victim, including biting the victim, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $75,000.

Ricco Dante Tabler, 46, last known address 2664 Whimswillow Dr., Newark, was charged with one count burglary, a second-degree felony.

On April 17, Tabler was suspected of breaking into a Newark home, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $75,000.

Kennith D. Lenegar, 32, last known address 283 W. Church St., Newark, was charged with one count breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 17, Lenegar was suspected of breaking into a detached garage in Newark, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $10,000.

Michael J. Dodd, 29, last known address 258 N. Cedar St., Newark, was charged with one count domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 19, Dodd was suspected of kicking the victim in the face while she was pregnant, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $25,000.

John C. Henderson, 48, last known address 283 N. 10th St., Apartment A, Newark, was charged with one count aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony.

On Jan. 28, Henderson was suspected of selling 3.63 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $35,000.

Jack D. Pickett, 33, last known address 288 Midland Place, Logan, was charged with one count trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony.

On Oct. 28, Pickett was suspected of selling marijuana, THC, and hashish to a confidential informant, according to a statement of facts.

Klein set bond at $5,000 own recognizance.
