Man indicted for rape of minor in Licking County Common Pleas Court

NEWARK - The following people were indicted on felony charges in Licking County Common Pleas Court.

Tyre D. Loney, 18, last known address 1198 Dusk Court, Reynoldsburg, was charged with two counts of rape, both first-degree felonies; and one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, a second-degree felony.

Between Sept. 1 and Oct. 8, Loney was suspected of engaging in sexual conduct with another who is less than 13, and creating, reproducing, or publishing any obscene material that has a minor or impaired person as one of its participants or portrayed observers, according to the indictment.

John J. Bushby, 51, last known address 1375 Country Side Dr., Newark, was charged with two counts of theft, both fifth-degree felonies.

Between April 21, 2017 and Oct. 27, 2017 and between Dec. 2, 2017 and Sept. 21, 2018, Bushby was accused of stealing property or services, according to the indictment.

Kasey M. Kittle, 33, last known address 1568 Crystal Court, Apartment A, Newark, was charged with one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Between May 1 and Sept. 19, Kittle was suspected of stealing property or services, according to the indictment.

Roy E. Sweat, 42, last known address 6148 Baskerville Dr., Columbus, was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a third and fifth-degree felony.

On March 3 and Oct. 1, Sweat was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Crystal K. Cromwell, 49, last known address 2950 Brookside Dr., Zanesville, was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

On Jan. 2, Cromwell was suspected of receiving, retaining, or disposing of another's property knowing or having reasonable cause to believe the property was obtained through a theft offense, according to the indictment.

Skyler D. Perry, 23, last known address 7916 Panhandle Road SE, Newark, was charged with one count each improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony; and unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance, a fifth-degree felony.

On April 19, 2018, Perry was suspected of knowingly transporting or having a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle that is accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle; having methamphetamine; and having a dangerous ordinance, according to the indictment.

Terrance L. Cunningham, 41, last known address 235 1/2 W. Church St., Newark, was charged with one count each aggravated possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony; possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony; and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony.

On Sept. 4, Cunningham was suspected of having methamphetamine; on Oct. 14, Cunningham was suspected of having cocaine; and on Nov. 20, Cunningham was suspected of having a weapon while under disability, according to the indictment.

Fred R. Gompf, 49, last known address 14798 Mt. Perry Road, Mt. Perry, was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of controlled substances, a third and fifth-degree felony.

On June 12 and July 2, Gompf was suspected of having methamphetamine, according to the indictment.

Brian C. Nelson, 48, last known address 10848 Cross Road SE, Newark, was charged with one count of failure to comply with order or signal of police, a third-degree felony.

On Jan. 7, Nelson was suspected of operating a vehicle to willfully elude or flee a police after after receiving a visible or audible signal to stop, according to the indictment.

Emmitt J. Carr, 26, last known address 544 S. 30th St., Heath, was charged with one count of burglary, a third-degree felony; two counts of theft, a fifth-degree felony and first-degree misdemeanor; and two counts of receiving stolen property, a fourth and fifth-degree felony.

Between Nov. 15-27, Carr was suspected of trespassing in an occupied structure or in a separately secured or separately occupied portion of an occupied structure with purpose to commit any criminal offense; and suspected of stealing property or services; and on Dec. 19, Carr was suspected of receiving, retaining or disposing of another's property knowing or having reasonable cause to believe the property was obtained through a theft offense, according to the indictment.

Brian E. Holland, 49, last known address 584 Glenbrook Dr., Newark, was charged with one count of burglary, a third-degree felony.

On Jan. 1, Holland was suspected of trespassing in an occupied structure or in a separately secured or separately occupied portion of an occupied structure with purpose to commit any criminal offense, according to the indictment.

John T. McElfresh, 39, last known address 9690 Shelly Road, Thornville, was charged with one count each aggravated possession of controlled substances, a second-degree felony; aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony.

On Nov. 30, McElfresh was suspected of having and distributing or preparing ro distribute methamphetamine, and having a weapon while under disability, according to the indictment.

Thomas L. Dehmann Jr., 41, last known address 2111 Dayton Road, Newark, was charged with one count each theft, a fourth-degree felony; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; and falsification in theft offense to purchase firearm, a first-degree misdemeanor.

On Dec. 31, Dehmann was suspected of stealing a motor vehicle; on Jan. 2, Dehmann was suspected of knowingly transporting or having a loaded firearm in a vehicle that's accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving, and knowingly making a false statement or knowingly swearing or affirming the truth of a false statement previously made when the statement is made to mislead a public official in their official function, according to the indictment.

Kayleigh L. Laughman, 30, last known address 579 W. Main St., Newark, was charged with one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

On Dec. 31, Laughman was suspected of tampering with evidence, according to the indictment.

Jeremy J. Garcia, 40, last known address 472 Moull St., Newark, was charged with one count of domestic violence, a third-degree felony.

On Jan. 5, Garcia was suspected of knowingly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member, according to the indictment.
