DDA to create a “smart hub” at Southwest Delhi’s Dwarka

Featuring components of a smart city, along with a hangout zone, the Delhi Development Authority is to develop a smart hub at Delhi’s southwest region, Dwarka. The focus will be laid on a socio-cultural centre similar to Delhi’s India Habitat Centre, said a senior DDA official.

Spread over 21.15 hectares across sectors 10 and 11 of Dwarka, the project will have commercial centres apart from several restaurants and multiplexes but will not include a residential component.

A “recreational green area” spread across 5.8 hectares with an amphitheatre, a herbal garden, children’s play area, a small butterfly park, and splash pools will also be developed alongside the commercial area, said the officials.
