Greene County law enforcement are investigating a reported drive-by shooting Saturday evening.

Law enforcement are investigating a drive-by shooting that allegedly occurred northwest of Springfield on Saturday evening.

According to a press release from the Greene County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a scene near the intersection of Farm Road 94 and Willard Road around 8:30 p.m. Saturday for what deputies describe as a drive-by shooting.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound who was taken to a local hospital for surgery.

According to deputies, a witness described the vehicle as an "older model white Lincoln four-door car with a black male driver."

A release from the Sheriff's Office says Springfield Police are investigating a similar shooting involving a similar vehicle.

"It is unknown at this time if they are connected," a release from the Sheriff's Office says.

Polk County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle that matches the description of Greene County's suspect, according to the release.
