KFC will give away 'Picnic Polos' to limited customers in Springfield on Wednesday

If you have ever wanted your polo to also turn into a picnic blanket, you're in luck.

KFC will be giving away a limited number of "Picnic Polos" at a Springfield restaurant on Wednesday to celebrate National Drive-Thru Day.

What is a Picnic Polo, you might ask?

The picnic polo is a chic, gingham print polo that can easily convert into a picnic blanket. The shirt comes with a utensil holder and a large pocket that houses the picnic blanket extension of the polo.

“The Colonel was no stranger to bold fashion statements like his signature white suit and black string-tie and we know that he would be a fan of this trendy and functional Picnic Polo,” KFC chief marketing officer Andrea Zahumensky said in a release. “Afterall, a KFC picnic looks good on everyone.”

This state-of-the-art design will be available exclusively at the KFC located at 215 E. Sunshine St. and at PicnicOnUs.com.

The first 15 customers to visit the drive-thru on Wednesday will receive a free KFC $20 Fill Up and an exclusive picnic kit valued over $100, "complete with all the picnic essentials to dine al fresco with the Picnic Polo," according to the release.

KFC said it chose Springfield because it is the home of the first drive-thru.

The KFC on East Sunshine Street opens at 10:30 a.m.
