The past 21 years of MSU basketball jerseys: Where do this year's rank?

Missouri State has a different look this season — and it's not just the new coaches and players.

The Bears are rocking a new set of uniforms that have received mixed reviews on social media.

While the traditional home white uniforms featuring maroon and horizontal stripes across the pants have been accepted, the away maroon uniforms have caused more of a stir.

At the Hall of Fame Classic and during road games at Murray State and Air Force, the Bears wore maroon jerseys with yellow shoulders and yellow stripes across the pants.

Yellow?

Missouri State has used yellow in its alternate uniforms over the last few seasons. Yellow had been used as an accent on white and maroon uniforms in MSU's history but was retired after the 1987 season.

According to Missouri State's website, "Missouri State Maroon," black and white are the school's primary colors. Secondary colors include Brick City (red), Boomer Sky (blue) and Pride Band Brass (gold-ish).

Since becoming Missouri State University in 2005, the school hasn't used yellow in its primary uniforms until this year.

This year's alternate uniform appears to be gray with maroon on the shoulders and letters. The team has worn them both at home and on the road this season. MSU has used gray as an alternate in the past.
