Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Jalandhar. The two exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, with only close friends and family in attendance. After completing the wedding nuptials, the newlyweds hosted a grand reception in Amritsar at a five-star hotel.
For the night the couple themed their reception in black and gold. While the groom opted a purple sherwani embellished with gold sequins, the bride looked ravishing wearing a heavily embellished pastel green Anarkali suit.
Kapil's co-actors Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Bharti Singh and Babbu Maan were among the popular faces in attendance. The reception had an exclusive performance by the acclaimed singer Daler Mehendi. The wedding festivities for the couple began with a ‘jagran’ at Kapil's residence in Amritsar. Krushna, who will soon be seen with Kapil in his upcoming show The Kapil Sharma Show, shared the pictures from the festivities on Instagram. Sumona also joined the couple for the jagran.
Earlier, Kapil had treated his fans with two pictures from his wedding ceremonies. The couple tied the knot as per traditional Hindu wedding rituals on December 12 followed by a Anand Karaj ceremony. Also present at the wedding were Kapil's friends from the television industry, including Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, Rajiv Thakur, Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
The actor-comedian will host a separate function in Mumbai on December 24 for his colleagues and members of the film fraternity.
