16. Aizawl West-II is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Aizawl West-II falls in Aizawl district and Aizwal region of Mizoram. It is categorized as a urban seat.
There are a total of 20,980 voters in the seat, which includes 9,786 male voters, and 11,194 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, Aizawl West-II recorded a voter turnout of 78.49%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.13%, and in 2008 it was 79.1%.
In 2013, Lalruatkima of MNF won the seat by a margin of 630 votes (4.17%). Lalruatkima secured 43.47% of the total votes polled.
MPC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 498 votes (3.95%), registering 36.92% of the total votes polled.
