EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the A69 near Hexham on Friday.
The collision happened at around 11.30am on the westbound carriageway of the A69, on the approach to Hexham's Bridge End roundabout.
A spokeswoman for the North East Ambulance Service said two patients were taken by ambulance to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police closed one lane of the A69 heading westbound for several hours to allow recovery work to take place.
