A WARNING has been issued over two pickpockets operating in Carlisle and Penrith.
The alert follows a theft of a woman's purse at about 1pm in Devonshire Street, Penrith on Friday.
Police suspect it was taken by pickpockets that are believed to be working across the county.
The first suspect is a woman, described as aged between 20 and 30-years-old, 5ft 4ins, of medium build, wearing a red hat, dark coloured jacket and black trousers, pink shoes and a dark shoulder bag.
The second suspect is a woman described as 5ft 6ins, of slim build, wearing a grey bobble hat, dark brown jacket, beige knee length skirt, black tights, black knee high boots, large black shoulder bag.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed this incident in Penrith to call police on 101, quoting log 124 of December 7.
