Police are investigating a spate of burglaries in Carlisle with laptops and TVs among the items taken.
Officers were called to the following incidents:
- Burglary and theft at about 5.30pm on November 28 on Peel Street, Carlisle. Items taken include a laptop, TV and a bike
- Attempted burglary at about 6.30pm on December 2, in Fusehill Street, Carlisle. No property taken
- Burglary at about 10.30pm on December 3 on Currock Street, Carlisle. Items taken include a laptop, bike and alcohol
During each incident suspect/s have used a large item from the victim’s garden to force entry to the property.
Police are warning the public about leaving loose or insecure items in their gardens, urging people to remove such items to a secure place, and to ensure that doors and windows are secure.
Anyone with information about any of the above incidents is asked to contact police quoting log 177 of December 2, or log 69 of December 3.
