A 30-year-old man has been arrested following a crash in Carlisle.

The man, who is said to be local, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences after the crash on Saturday.

It happened on London Road, at the junction of Chertsey Bank, at about 5.30pm.

The man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.

He was also arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle over the alcohol limit, being in possession of criminal property and driving without insurance or a licence.

He has since been released under investigation.

A force spokesperson said: "Police are looking for any dashcam or mobile phone footage of the collision and the moments after."
