FORMAL plans have been submitted to the council to add 43 new parking spaces to the Civic Centre car park.
The application to demolish the Rotunda annex to the right of the main Carlisle Civic Centre building and build 43 car parking spaces in its place has been submitted by Carlisle City Council.
According to the application, the plan “forms an important part of the proposals to reinstate and improve facilities at the Civic Centre, Carlisle following the damage sustained during Storm Desmond in 2015”.
Included in the development will be seven disabled spaces.
The application will now be reviewed by city council planners.
