A five-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car.
Police were called to Millholme Avenue, Carlisle, at 3.30pm today (March 22) following a crash involving a car and a child.
The car involved was a Nissan.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed the girl was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
She said: "We were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. We have taken a child to hospital."
Police said there were no serious injuries.
