TRAIN: Northern Rail have cancelled some services heading to and from Carlisle Picture: STUART WALKER
SEVERAL rail services travelling to and from Carlisle have been cancelled this evening.
Northern Rail has confirmed that the 6.57pm service from Morpeth to Carlisle, and the 9.07pm service from Carlisle to Hartlepool, via Hexham and Newcastle, will not be operating.
In a short statement, Northern said: "This is due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time."
