Extinction Rebellion will host a general meeting on Thursday evening to discuss future action plans for Cumbria.
The meeting, which will be held at Carlisle Quakers, will be a chance for those worried about the future of the environment to have their say on what the Carlisle branch will focus on within the coming months.
Small working groups will be set-up to develop these ideas into practical plans - they will also be led by core members of Extinction Rebellion Carlisle.
Members of the local group will also be on hand to teach the basic skills needed for non-violent direct action and give a general introduction to the aims of Extinction Rebellion.
An international rebellion is planned for October in London.
The meeting will begin at 7pm on Thursday at the Carlisle Quakers.
