A Carlisle Crown Court judge is to sentence a teenager who has admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm on a young girl.
Grant Lockhart, 18, also admitted two counts of using threatening behaviour towards the same victim - the first offence being committed on July 17 at St James Park in Denton Holme, Carlisle, and the second on August 8 in Currock.
The teenaged defendant, of Sunnymeade, Upperby, Carlisle, committed the assault on December 20 last year in Upperby.
At the city's Rickergate ' Court, magistrates ruled that Lockhart should be remanded in custody until he is sentenced on September 16.
Court papers confirm that this was because magistrates felt that he was likely to interfere with witnesses given the serious nature of the offences, previously breaking conditions of bail, offending while on bail, and making threats to the victim.
The court imposed an order preventing the identification of the girl because of her age.
