A woman has appeared in court charged with robbery.
Police were called to Morton Services, in Wigton Road, Carlisle, at about 1am on Friday following reports of the robbery.
Officers say £30 in cash was taken, but have not specified whether it was taken from the service station or from a customer.
Lisa Marie Nugent, 28, of no fixed address, has since been charged with robbery and appeared before the city's magistrates' court on Saturday.
She was remanded to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday, December 6.
