FIRE crews in Carlisle had a busy evening tackling a number of bonfire night incidents across the area.
The team at Carlisle East in Harraby were first called out to a report of a firework in a bin on Central Avenue, Harraby at 6pm on Tuesday.
They were later sent to extinguish a large bonfire at the back of the Bluerare Restaurant on London Road at 8pm.
Both incidents were put out using one hose reel jet, with the latter also requiring one main jet.
Across town, Carlisle West in Raffles were called to small bonfire on a field between Queensway and Richard Green in Morton at 8.30pm.
An hour later they received another call about a small bonfire on Sheehan Crescent, Raffles at 9.30pm, followed by another involving a fire at an old hallow tree at Bitts Park, Willowholme at 11.30pm.
All fires tackled by the west team were put out using a hose reel.
