PLANS have been submitted to demolish the former White Horse Centre in Carlisle.
An application by property management company Harrison Northern to Carlisle City Council aims to bulldoze the vacant building, on Tyne Street, Harraby, and build five new employment units and create an external compound area.
In a planning report by agents PFK, the building, which has been empty for several years, lies within the setting of the Carlisle to Settle conservation area.
However, the report adds there would be minor direct impact as a result of the proposed development, which has been cited as having a ‘less than substantial’ harm on the area.
