Police in Columbia arrested Richard Ludwig for murder after his wife was found unresponsive.
Patrol officers responded to the 100-block of Sam Davis Road Friday afternoon. They found 40-year-old Barbara Ludwig unresponsive.
Based on their investigation, it was determined Mrs. Ludwig was strangled to death.
Her husband is charged with first degree murder and aggravated domestic assault resulting in death.
He was taken to the Maury County Jail. Police said this is an active investigation.
