NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Mayor David Briley proclaimed April 16, 2019 as Dining Out Day For Life, and sixty Nashville restaurants are expected to take part in this year's effort.

This is the 17th year of the event, which raises money for Nashville CARES. Participating restaurants have agreed to donate a percentage of the day's sales to the organization.

Organizers hope to raise $120,000 this year. "We couldn't do that without the support of these generous restaurants, volunteer hosts and thousands of hungry diners," said Natisha Moultry, of Nashville CARES, in a news release.
