A Linn man has been placed on five years of supervised probation in connection with a June 2018 drug case in Jefferson City.

Nathan Wilson, 34, pleaded guilty during a hearing before Cole County Presiding Judge Pat Joyce to delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A second person in this case, Caysee Temmen, 21, of Jefferson City, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Her next court date is April 30.

Officers were conducting surveillance in the 1600 block of Jefferson Street due to the "high frequency of narcotics-related activity in the area," according to Jefferson City Police Department reports.

Officers identified two vehicles and multiple individuals exhibiting behaviors they said were consistent with distribution of illegal narcotics, including hand-to-hand transactions.

Temmen and Wilson were stopped in one of the vehicles for displaying the plates of another vehicle. Officers said the two made movements appearing they were trying to hide something.

An officer noticed a digital scale in the front seat of the vehicle, and a search revealed a plastic bag that contained more than 1 ounce of methamphetamine.

Authorities said Wilson and Temmen were involved in distribution of illegal drugs near a city park.

Court records show Wilson has numerous arrests for narcotics-related activity and has narcotics cases pending in Cole County and other jurisdictions, as does Temmen.
