A grease fire Thursday morning caused damage to a Jefferson City apartment building.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 1200 Block of Swifts Highway at 11:26 a.m. Thursday for a reported structure fire, according to Jefferson City Fire Department reports.
The first crews on the scene reported light smoke showing from the front of the three-story apartment building.
Firefighters discovered a grease fire in the kitchen of a first-floor apartment, and the fire was quickly brought under control.
All occupants were able to evacuate the apartment building. Two occupants were evaluated by medical personnel; however, there were no reported injuries.
One occupant was displaced due to the damage sustained in the apartment.
