Two Jefferson City residents were injured Saturday evening in a one-vehicle wreck in Cole County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Samantha J. Dallmeyer, 20, was driving south on Scott Station Road, about 1,700 feet south of Scott Station Lane, when her vehicle went off the left side of the road.

It struck an embankment and a fence, ejecting passenger Anthony Bettencourt, who was riding on the hood.

Neither were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

Dallmeyer sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital. Bettencourt had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
