One person was injured in this tractor trailer crash early Tuesday afternoon, May 4, 2020, at the interchange of U.S. 54/63 and Missouri 94 in north Jefferson City.

One person was treated for serious injuries after a tractor-trailer crashed just after noon Tuesday in Jefferson City.

The preliminary investigations showed Gaylon Eggen, 61, of Jefferson City, was traveling westbound on Missouri 94 and took the ramp to westbound U.S. 54, according to Jefferson City Police Department reports.

The trailer's load shifted and was further affected by a large gust of wind, causing the trailer to roll. The truck and trailer slid on the roadway across all three lanes, coming to a rest on the inner lane cable system.

The traffic was restricted in the area for approximately three hours while crews worked to clear the crash.
