Cumberland County Historical Society Gingerbread Contest

Sharon Yoshida and Edward Pisarski's entry won "best of show" in the Cumberland County Historical Society's ninth annual gingerbread contest.

The Cumberland County Historical Society conducted its ninth annual gingerbread contest on Saturday, Dec. 9. Here are the winners, by category:

Best in Show -- Sharon Yoshida and Edward Pisarski of Bridgeton.

Ages 10 and younger -- Chole Metzgier, 7, of Elmer, first place; 9-year-old Paige and 6-year-old Ryan Pillsbury of Bridgeton, and Brooke Smick, 10, of Salem, tied for second place; Kara Serabian, 7, of Greenwich, third place; Christopher Serabian, 21 months, honorable mention.

Ages 11-17 -- Brett Smick, 15, of Salem, first place.

Ages 18 and older -- Sharon Yoshida and Edward Pisarski of Bridgeton, first place; Matthew and Jesse Pisarski of Greenwich and Terry O’Hara of Cedarville, tied for second place.

Family -- “The Serabian Ladies,” of Greenwich, first place; Amanda Sooy and Cheryl Cain of Bridgeton, and Robin Adair, Dylan Adair and Hope Szewczak of Pittman, tied for second place.

Organization -- Inspira Life Center of Vineland, first place; Ranch Hope of Alloway, participants ages 12-13, second place.
