New Jersey actors Jason Alexander and Piper Perabo are part of a long list of celebrities participating in a live reading of the Mueller report on Monday night.

The Investigation: A Search for the Truth in Ten Acts" — hashtag #TheInvestigation for those tweeting along — is billed as being “ripped from the pages of the Mueller report."

The theatrical adaptation of the report, which will be performed in front of an audience in New York, was written by Robert Schenkkan, with filmmaker Abigail Disney, Susan Disney Lord and Timothy Disney (their father is Roy E. Disney, and their great-uncle is Walt Disney) serving as executive producers.

Schenkkan won a Pulitzer Prize in 1992 for his play “The Kentucky Cycle" and a Tony in 2014 for his play “All the Way.”

Alexander, who played George Costanza on “Seinfeld,” grew up in Livingston, and Perabo, who hails from Toms River, is in Netflix’s “Turn Up Charlie” and had her breakthrough in the 2000 film “Coyote Ugly.”

Alexander’s “Seinfeld” co-star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep”), Annette Bening and John Lithgow will also star in the performance, to be live-streamed on Monday starting at 9 p.m. EST and 6 p.m. PST at the website for Law Works. The organization, which is presenting the show, works to defend the nonpartisan role of the Department of Justice.

Joining Alexander, Perabo, Benning, Louis-Dreyfus and Lithgow will be Sigourney Weaver (“Alien"), Mark Hamill (“Star Wars”), Kevin Kline (”In & Out"), Michael Shannon (”The Shape of Water“), Justin Long (”Live Free or Die Hard“), Gina Gershon (”Riverdale“), Wilson Cruz (”Star Trek: Discovery”), Joel Grey (“Cabaret“), Alyssa Milano (”Insatiable“), Frederick Weller (”BlacKkKlansman“), Ben McKenzie (”Gotham“), Noah Emmerich (”The Americans“), Kyra Sedgwick (”Brooklyn Nine-Nine“), Alfre Woodard (”The Lion King“), Zachary Quinto (”Star Trek“) and Aidan Quinn (”Legends of the Fall").

In 2018, Perabo was arrested for civil disobedience at the confirmation hearing of then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The same year, she campaigned for Rep. Andy Kim in the 3rd district.

Alexander is set to be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in October.
