Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, a cast member on MTV’s “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” is now subject to an emergency protective order under which he must stay 300 feet away from his on-off girlfriend, Jen Harley, TMZ and People report.

On Friday, Ortiz-Magro, 33, was arrested in Los Angeles on a felony charge of domestic violence and was later charged with kidnapping after a domestic dispute involving Harley. The couple have an 18-month-old daughter named Ariana.

The order is in effect until Friday, Oct. 11, and does not prevent Ortiz-Magro from seeing Ariana, however police have to be there if he wants to visit his daughter.

Police said they used a Taser on Ortiz-Magro when they responded to the Hollywood Hills home that he and Harley were renting in Los Angeles on Friday. Ortiz-Magro had reportedly locked himself inside the house with Ariana. He was taken to a hospital and later released from jail after posting $100,000 bail.

“The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo," Ortiz-Magro’s lawyer said in a statement on Saturday. “We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”

Ariana is reportedly with her mother in Las Vegas, where Ortiz-Magro also lives.

Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s tumultuous and allegedly violent relationship has played on on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation" after Harley was alleged to have dragged him from a car in 2018 (a domestic battery charge was ultimately dropped against Harley). On the show, Ortiz-Magro later made up a cover story about getting jumped in Secaucus to explain scratches on his face. Cast members privately said they believed his injuries to be the result of a tussle with Harley.

As recently as Thursday, Ortiz-Magro and Harley, who have often broken up and gotten back together, were seen holding hands.

In January, Harley was alleged to have thrown an ashtray at Ortiz-Magro’s head at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. In May, she was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after she reportedly called police to say that someone had a gun and they discovered that she had an outstanding warrant from January. The charge was dropped.
