Whitney Houston remains alive in the public memory in many ways.

In June, Houston’s estate released new music from the iconic singer — a Kygo mix of Houston’s cover of “Higher Love." In November, a memoir arrived from Houston’s longtime confidante Robyn Crawford, in which Crawford talked for the first time about their relationship. In February, a Whitney Houston hologram tour started in the United Kingdom.

Next, Houston is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

And now, Lifetime is teasing a new documentary that will focus on Houston and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. The network aired a promo on Saturday night.

This isn’t the first time Lifetime has addressed the singer’s legacy.

After Houston died in 2012, Bobbi Kristina Brown and Houston’s family, including her mother, Cissy Houston, appeared in the Lifetime reality series “The Houstons: On Our Own." In 2015, the network aired the movie “Whitney," directed by Angela Bassett, starring Yaya DaCosta as Houston and Arlen Escarpeta as Bobby Brown. The film followed the singers’ tumultuous relationship, and Deborah Cox subbed in for Houston’s vocal performances.

The Bobby Brown Story," a 2018 miniseries from BET, also depicted Houston’s relationship with Brown (Woody McClain plays Brown, Gabrielle Dennis plays Houston and Donshea Hopkins plays Bobbi Kristina). The couple divorced in 2007.

In 2012, Houston, who grew up in East Orange, was found unresponsive in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. She was 48. The cause of death was accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine listed as contributing factors.

The 2018 documentary “Whitney,” from director Kevin Macdonald, brought allegations to light about Dee Dee Warwick, Houston’s cousin. Sources, including Houston’s family, told the director that Houston said Warwick had allegedly sexually abused her as a child.

Another Houston documentary, “Whitney: Can I Be Me?," from directors Nick Broomfield and Rudi Dolezal, premiered in 2017.

Bobbi Kristina Brown died in 2015, six months after being found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her townhouse in Roswell, Georgia. She was 22. An autopsy showed she had alcohol and multiple drugs in her system, but investigators did not determine the manner of her death.

Nick Gordon, who had been in a relationship with Brown before her death, died on Jan. 1 of this year of a heroin overdose. He was 30.

Gordon, who spent part of his childhood living with Brown and Houston, had been found legally responsible for Brown’s death in 2015 and ordered to pay $36 million to her estate.
