16-year-old among those wounded in triple shooting in Trenton

Three people were shot in Trenton at the intersection of Perry and Montgomery streets, a Trenton police spokesperson said Sunday.

Officers received calls about shots being fired at the intersection at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived on the scene, officers found three gunshot victims, police said.

A 16-year-old Burlington City resident and two women, ages 35 and 40, both of Trenton, were injured in the shooting, police said. All are expected to survive.

The teen was struck in his upper thigh, while the 40-year-old woman was hit in her upper arm. The 35-year-old woman is being treated for multiple wounds, police said. She was struck in her wrist, her foot and the side of her hip.

All three were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in private vehicles and were treated for their injuries.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
