To mark the 100-year anniversary of the New Orleans Garden Society, which was founded in 1919, the society is donating a fountain for the New Orleans City Park Botanical Garden. Paul Soniat, director of the botanical garden, gave a progress report on the fountain during the society's Oct. 9 meeting in the playhouse of Longue Vue.
The society's big centennial celebration will be Nov. 3 at the botanical garden.
