A panel of transportation experts and advocates will make presentations today to a select committee of senators investigating NJ Transit.

This is the second hearing held by the committee. It follows one that took place last month in Hoboken where members of the public were invited to speak about their concerns, questions and ideas for improvement.

“This hearing will put a focus on what progress has been made to improve service and operations at NJ Transit and whether the agency’s funding needs are being addressed,” said Steve Sweeney, the senate president who is chairing the committee he announced forming in October.
