Aln Valley pathway project is welcomed
A new footpath and cycle path from Alnwick to Greenrigg Bridge has been welcomed.
The scheme, following the route of the Aln Valley Railway, has been praised by Alnwick Town Council’s sustainable travel working group.
The path provides an alternative route to the busy A1068 between Alnwick and Hipsburn. The long term aim is to extend the path to Alnmouth.
Meanwhile, the council’s climate change working group is interested in setting up a meeting with residents about the creation of a carbon reduction group.
