BRITAIN'S Got Talent star Gruffydd Wyn is among the performers at a special fundraising concert on Anglesey.

The Isle of Anglesey County Council’s chair Councillor Dylan Rees has organised the concert to be held at Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni, at 7pm, on Friday, April 5.

Also performing, to help raise money for the St David’s Anglesey Hospice, at Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley, Holyhead, are Côr Glanaethwy, Brodyr Magee and Band Biwmares.

Ynys Môn AM Rhun Ap Iorwerth will present the evening.

Cllr Rees said: “I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to arrange such a wide range of exceptional local talent to take part. I’m especially grateful to Gruffydd Wyn who has made time in his busy schedule to join us.

"It promises to be a very special concert and will hopefully raise significant funds for a most worthy local cause.”

Trystan Pritchard, chief executive of St David’s Hospice said: “I am delighted that this celebratory concert is taking place to raise significant funds towards St David’s Anglesey Hospice and are extremely grateful to Cllr Rees, for the huge amount of support he has shown by organising this event."

"This year,St David’s Hospice will open the first ever four bedded inpatient hospice within a redundant ward space at Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley, Holyhead.

"It means that patients facing journeys of up to 90 mile round trips to the hospice in Llandudno, will now be able to stay in their own communities, giving patients, their families and carers comfort and peace of mind that their closer to home."

Cllr Rees added: “We also need to say a special thank you to our sponsor for the evening, Hogan Construction, who have kindly contributed to the event.

"The evening will be a celebration of music from our talented local performers and I hope to welcome as many as possible to join me in a night of musical entertainment.
