BANGOR City Men’s Hockey team endured a torrid afternoon last Saturday as they lost by 15-1 scoreline away to Northop Hall.
The shellshocked Blues simply had no answer to the home side’s attack and shipped nine goals in a disastrous opening half.
The only positive came during the second half when young Harry Collins-Jones pulled off an impressive volley at the back post to score Bangor’s only consolation goal. But with Northop adding a further six goals to their tally during the second half, there was little for City to celebrate come the final whistle.
City will aim to make amends next weekend when they host Alderley Edge 3rds at the Brailsford Centre 3G pitch (2.15pm).
