A serving prisoner who had absconded from HMP Sudbury has been arrested and charged with escaping lawful custody.

Kieron Moss, 33, was reported to have absconded from HMP Sudbury on Sunday, 11 August.

Moss was jailed for 10 years in 2012 for his part in the armed robbery of the Giltbrook Retail Park outlet of Franky & Benny’s in July of the previous year.

He absconded by climbing over the fence at HMP Sudbury in the direction of the A515.

He was arrested by officers in Nottingham on Thursday, August 15 and has subsequently been charged with escaping lawful custody.
