O2 customers have been left without the use of 4G as the mobile network experiences problems.

Nottinghamshire customers, as well as other O2 users across the country have reported problems with their mobile data.

A statement was posted on the O2 website, which said: "Our technical teams are investigating reports of issues when using data. Voice calls are working OK.

"We apologise for any inconvenience.

"Updates will be shared here as soon they are available."

On an interactive tool on the O2 website where you can type your location, another warning appears stating that the phone network is investigating reports that a phone mast isn't working in our area.

Customers could experience problems with 4G and making calls.

The site also advises people to try switching their device off and on again.

Nottinghamshire O2 users are not impressed with the situation.

One took to Twitter to say: "@O2 How festive is this? Just had to buy another sodding train ticket because the network is down! #o2down @thetrainline

Another said: "Not only is data not working... I'm unable to make calls..."
