Part of a road in Sneinton is closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car shortly before midnight on Thursday.

Police were called to reports of a collision on Sneinton Dale at around 11.45pm on Thursday, May 28.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre and has since been discharged with minor injuries.

Sneinton Dale is still currently closed between Holborn Avenue and Shrewsbury Avenue while officers continue their investigation.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed they have made two arrests in relation to the collision.

One woman, aged 30 and a 65-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the collision.

Detective Inspector Parminder Dhillon, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would like to encourage anyone who may have seen what happened to come forward.
