If you're looking for somewhere to stay but don't want to spend a fortune then you can't go wrong with a Travelodge.

Whether you've got a meeting, seeing family or off on a night out chances are there's a hotel somewhere nearby offering cheap deals.

The fact that they've welcomed thousands of people also means that there's plenty of reviews. 

So we decided to take a look on TripAdvisor to see how every hotel is ranked across the entire county. 

It turns out there's a reason the hotel chain is so popular, with each one delivering an impressive score. 

Nottingham Central

• Travelodge says: "Ideally located close to the city centre, Nottingham Central Hotel is great for anyone visiting the legendary area with the train station nearby and East Midlands Airport easily accessible." 

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "If you are after a no-frills stay in a central location then this Travelodge will be right for you. Very central and immediate access to Nottingham City Centre. Only downside is that the nearest car park facility was an NCP Carpark further down the road (although cheap at only £4.70 for 24 hours). Reception and bar staff were extremely friendly, polite and professional."

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "Rooms are clean and warm. There was no noise for our side. There's a pub with hot food and friendly hotel staff willing to help out at all times. Beds are comfortable and clean as was bathroom and towels."

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "First trip at Travelodge Nottingham, would highly recommend for the price. Ryan at reception was very polite and could not do enough for us, would definitely visit again. Situated nearby petrol station and restaurants. Good parking and considering it was bordered by a main road was very quiet."

• Travelodge says: "Our hotel provides somewhere to stay with easy access in and out of the city and offers access to the wider Nottinghamshire area. Conveniently located only 7 miles from the town centre, this hotel is close to strong transport links that connect to nearby towns and cities." 

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "Had a really good deal, and ideal for 'stop over' to break up long journey. Stayed in room 202 this time, so nearest the motorway, was noisier than the previous room we stayed in but not too disruptive, bed was more comfortable, though the bathroom clean wasn't as vigilant as before, dirty hand towel, (hand mark) so I reversed it and used it as bath mat! Also bathroom bin not emptied, contained beer can from previous occupant(s). ."

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "Close to airport at a good price. Got everything you need here plus discounts on meals and magazines. There's also a bookies there if you fancied a littlle bet. Reception very helpful and room was warm."

• Travelodge says: "Our Mansfield hotel is set on the edge of the bustling market towns of Mansfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield. It's ideal for football fans attending a game at Mansfield Town or shows at the Palace Theatre." 

• TripAdvisor reviewers say: "My room was on the first floor overlooking the adjacent retail park (Frankie & Benny's, Subway, Tesco etc.) but despite that, the soundproofing worked well and the curtains kept out the glare of the floodlights. The room was a generous size, cleans and well kept and the bed was comfy with extra pillows in the wardrobe as required. Not every Travelodge is the same but this one is pretty decent."
