Council tax set to rise and Link bus cuts expected as part of plans to save £22m

Council tax for Nottingham residents looks set to rise from April and several services will be reduced as part of plans to save £22m.

Nottingham City Council has announced the plans, which it says are due to a significant reduction in the funding it receives from the Government.

The city council’s part of the council tax will go up by 2.99 percent, although the police and fire services are also expected to put up their share, so the final total is expected to be higher.
