Nottingham Forest's squad has undergone a serious makeover in the last year.

Twelve months ago Evangelos Marinakis financed a surge of signings, including the club record £13m signing Joao Carvalho, as well as £6m for Lewis Grabban.

There were also plenty of outgoings the other way. Here, we take a lot at who those who left the City Ground for other clubs have fared.

Stefanos Kapino

Signed from Olympiakos in February 2018,  the Greek international made little impact and was sold to Werder Bremen for a reported 300,000 euro last August.

Less than a week after going to the Bundesliga he injured his knee and was ruled out for at least three months. When he returned to full fitness, the 25-year-old only played one first team game.

Dimitar Evtimov

The goalkeeper's contract was terminated by mutual consent last September after initially joining the Reds in 2011.

Went on to play seven times for Burton Albion before joining Accrington Stanley on a free transfer in January, playing 11 times before being released at the end of the season.

The Bulgarian was sent off in March after he threw a bottle back into the crowd which had been thrown on the pitch against Blackpool.

Armand Traore

The left-back joined Turkish side Caykur Rizespor last July, but has played just once for them. They reportedly tried to sell him at the start of the year, but could not find a buyer.

Davide Zappacosta is challenged by Danny Fox

Danny Fox

Now with fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic, Fox left the City Ground after five seasons in January.

The 32-year-old made 127 appearances for Forest after initially signing from Southampton in January 2014. Played only 10 times for Wigan last season as they avoided relegation.

Eric Lichaj

The popular American full-back joined Hull for an undisclosed fee 12 months ago after spending five years in Nottingham.

Established himself as a regular in the Tigers team, playing 41 times in total.

Michael Mancienne

The defender made the move to New England Revolution last August on a free transfer.

He is reportedly the highest paid defender in the MLS, earning $1.28m in 2018. New England failed to make the play-offs, but Mancienne appears happy with his decision to leave the City Ground.

"The hardest thing I’ve found is just the travelling, it’s so difficult," he said in March.

"The standard of football is a lot higher than what I initially thought it would be. It’s a very high standard.

“There are a lot of very good players in the league as well and it is very competitive.

“Obviously, a big difference is you can’t get relegated which takes a little bit of the pressure off but you obviously still want to do the best you can and come as high as you can in the league.”

Andreas Bouchalakis

If anyone has thrived since leaving Forest it is the midfielder.

Bouchalakis played 30 times after returning to Olympiacos and he is now a full Greek international. However, his game was arguably not suited to the hustle and bustle of the Championship.

Barrie McKay

The 24-year-old made a brilliant start to his Forest career under Mark Warburton, but faded badly and was sold to Swansea City for around £500,000.

It was a familiar tale then as McKay started brightly in Graham Potter's new-look Swansea side but his form fell off quite sharply.

A player who clearly has talent - as shown by a stunner at Bolton - but the new manager will want to see more consistency from McKay next term.

Ben Brereton goes past Jack Hobbs to score his first Rovers goal

Ben Brereton

Blackburn were obliged to sign Brereton for £7m in January after he initially joined on loan. It was a tough season for the former England Under-19 international.

Brereton got his first Rovers goal at the 24th attempt, against Bolton in April.
