Shoppers can now grab a tint with their tights or polish with their pants as Nottingham's Primark launches its own in-store beauty salon - one of only four in the UK.

Opened on Monday (August 12) the pretty pink and white pamper pop-up has already proved a hit with the city's glamour pusses who have the team of waxers, nail technicians and beauticians rushed off their feet.

"It's been mad all week," says salon manager Charlie Eastwood, "It's been 100 miles an hour since we opened but it's been great fun."

Primark's new beauty salon

Operated by nationwide chain Lashious Beauty, the salon offers 50 different treatments including lash and brow tinting, eyelash lifts, pedicures and gel polish manicures.

Nail technician Kimi Chohan had been freelancing until bagging a job at the new beauty studio where she specialises in providing the perfect polish.

A gel polish is by far the most popular nail treatment, Kimi tells Nottinghamshire Live, with a £20 express set expected to last customers around two weeks.

There are more than 100 different colours to choose from, presented on arrival as swatches, and you'll even be able to fit a treatment into your lunch hour as a deluxe gel polish (with file, shape, cuticle care, cream and gel colour) takes between 30 and 40 minutes.

Primark's new beauty salon

Lashious Beauty first opened to the public in 2009, and says it currently provides more 15,000 beauty treatments every week across 18 sites.

These include four newly launched salons opened in Primark stores across the country including Bromley, Milton Keynes and Manchester. The Nottingham branch is the first in the Midlands.

Treatment prices start at £4 for neck threading (a hair removal technique using thread) to £50 for 'Glam Look' or 'Russian Express' eye lash extensions. Tints start from £7, pedicures from £13, polishes from £10 and waxing from £6.

Walk-ins are welcome but to guarantee a time call 0115 671 9947 or visit lashiousbeauty.co.uk.

Rumours surrounding the possibility of a Lashious Beauty studio opening in Primark, Long Row, started last month when the company advertised for a number of positions in the Nottingham store, including eyelash technician, nail technician, and brow expert.

While the beauty company did not return a request to comment on the opening at the time, the advert read: "We are excited to announce our partnership with Primark to provide affordable, high quality beauty treatments in store.

"Lashious Beauty is an award-winning chain of beauty salons based in 18 shopping centres across the UK, and we are now teaming up with Primark, opening multiple beauty studios nationwide within Primark.

"With this collaboration we’re offering a range of beauty treatment services, such as nail, hair and brow services, so you can both shop and pamper yourself."
