He's known for uncovering the weird and wonderful underbelly of society, but this week documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux took a rather more sedate stop-off as he explored a coffee house and antiques shop in Nottingham.

Swinging by Hops Coffee House and Bar with a small group and a cameraman on Tuesday, March 19, the journalist and presenter was described as "very friendly and inquisitive" by staff.

Comparing the Station Street bar to some he had visited in Brooklyn he was shown around the building including the extensive Hopkinsons antiques centre while revealing he was visiting the city as part of his latest documentary and had an interview planned later the same afternoon.

Hop's manager Frazer Wilson told Nottinghamshire Live: "We showed him around the building and he told us about how he was travelling up and down the country for his latest documentary with an interview planned that afternoon... however, I've been sworn to secrecy on the topic."

The group left shortly after mic-ing Louis up to start filming.

Watch this space then folks!
