Arkansas hosted its third Prospect Day on Sunday and among the recruits in attendance was Colleyville (Texas) Heritage 2020 offensive lineman Gavin Byers. 

Byers, 6-6, 260, was among the top recruits present. He was offered a scholarship by Arkansas on Jan. 29. He tweeted about Arkansas’ Prospect Day afterward.

He also holds offers from Baylor, SMU, Tulsa, Syracuse and New Mexico. He was offered by Baylor on Jan. 25 and visited them on Feb. 3. 

Byers is athletic and is outstanding on the basketball court. 

Making The Cut

Arkansas made the cut for two outstanding 2020 recruits in Texas on Sunday. Both are from Dallas Bishop Dunne.

Running back Jaden Hullaby, 6-2, 205, put the Hogs in his Top 11. 

Others in it, in no order, were Colorado, Minnesota, TCU, Iowa State, Florida, Baylor, Utah, Vanderbilt, Purdue and Michigan State. 

As a junior, Hullaby rushed 229 times for 1,181 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught 39 passes for 396 yards and five touchdowns. He returned two kickoffs for 38 yards.

Linebacker Brennon Scott, 6-2, 220, also tweeted out a Top 11 that included the Hogs.

In addition to Arkansas, Scott has, in no particular order, Nebraska, Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, SMU, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Florida and Texas among his favorites. 

As a junior, Scott finished with 80 tackles, including 54 unassisted, nine tackles for loss, 14 sacks, one forced fumble and two recovered fumbles. 

Offers In Arkansas

Chad Morris has seven offers out inside Arkansas now. That includes four in 2020, one in 2021 and two in 2022.

In the 2020 class, the Hogs have offered Morrilton quarterback Jacolby Criswell, 6-1, 208; Hazen defensive end Blayne Toll, 6-5, 235; Jonesboro defensive end Jashaud Stewart, 6-2, 216; and Bryant outside linebacker Catrell Wallace, 6-6, 215. 

The 2021 offer is to Fort Smith Northside athlete Dreyden Norwood, 6-1, 175. In 2022, the Hogs have offered Joe T. Robinson offensive tackle E’Marion Harris, 6-5, 300, and Little Rock Parkview running back-safety James Jointer, 6-1, 185.
