Omaha, NE-

Some notables to consider as Arkansas gets set to face Texas Tech Monday, a 1 p.m. elimination game from TD Ameritrade Park:

– Matt Cronin is the only Razorback Pitcher on this year’s roster who also threw against the Red Raiders last year (1.1 IP, allowed two hits, two earned runs, walked one, struck out two)

– Dominic Fletcher is 6 for 9 in two matchups combined against Texas Tech including a 4 for 4 performance when he homered and doubled in the CWS

– Casey Martin had a two-hit game against Tech in last year’s CWS, scoring twice

– Similar numbers between Arkansas and Tech: The Hogs hit .299 as a team, Tech .301

ERA: 3.89 for the Red Raiders, 3.88 for the Razorbacks

– Freshman Christian Franklin singled and doubled in his first CWS game taking on Florida State

(Franklin was 0 for 8 in Super Regionals)

– Hogs try to bounce back from a poor hitting performance against FSU when

they only had five hits (they were shutout for the first time since March 23rd at Alabama)

– Razorbacks are 3-1 against the Big 12 this season (beat Texas 11-4, lost to Texas 7-6 in March in Austin. Beat TCU 3-1 and 6-0 in NCAA Regionals in Fayetteville two weeks ago)

– Arkansas and Texas Tech are two of three teams making back-to-back trips to the CWS this year

(Mississippi State also made it to Omaha last season)

– Casey Martin, Matt Goodheart, Heston Kjerstad & Jack Kenley, the 2, 3, 5 & 6 hitters in the lineup, failed to get a hit in the Hogs’ CWS Opener against FSU (they are four of the top six hitters on the team)

– Trevor Ezell is hitting .500 in the NCAA Tournament (16-32), finishing 1 for 4 against the Seminoles
