EXPECT a history of familiar places in old movie clips when experienced cameraman and film editor Jim Bownass brings his vintage presentation to Barrow Island on Monday.
His is the guest speaker on film archive material of Old Westmorland and Cumberland at Furness Family History Society which meets at 7.30pm at Barrow Island Community Primary School.
Admission is £2, including refreshments. All are welcome.
Mr Bownass formed The Cumbrian Film Archive with Andrew Leitch and they have produced a dozen DVDs on life in the county, including Cumbria at War and The Lake Districtt
