A video circulating on social media appears to show someone slipping through the gates of the Bronx Zoo as the city was engulfed by George Floyd protests and looting Monday night.
The eight-second video shows a young man in a dark hoodie slipping through a large ornate gate at the zoo.
“Leave the animals out of this they’re endangered! & people will take it out on the animals not you guys,” a Twitter user who posted the video wrote.
An NYPD spokesperson said cops had seen the video and are investigating but could not immediately provide further details.
