Police are searching for the ex-boyfriend of a Pennsylvania woman who disappeared on Valentine’s Day.

John Eugene Colbert was named a person of interest in the case of Katie Stoner, the Kittanning Borough Police said Sunday.

Colbert, 27, is “wanted by other law enforcement agencies,” police said. They did not elaborate on why the New Castle man is being sought by other agencies.

He is described as 6-foot-3 with a “loyalty” tattoo on his right forearm.

Stoner, 27, went missing Feb. 14 around 6:30 p.m. The Kittanning resident is said to have been wearing a yellow North Face hoodie, grey plaid shoes and a black coat with a brown fur hood.

Police also said she has a “Daddy’s Little Girl” tattoo on her right ankle and two scars: one cut on her left eye and burn marks on her wrist.

Her family told KDKA that Stoner was seeking treatment for mental illness and an addiction to opioids at a women’s shelter, so she wouldn’t have just disappeared without a trace.

“All her things were there, all the pictures, everything was there and she had important meetings to go to that next day that she was excited about,” Linda Prestopine, Katie’s mom, told the outlet.

Prestopine also said Stoner wanted to get better in order to raise her little girls.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Colbert is urged to contact Officer Bartosiewicz at (724) 543-1538 or contact 911.
