Oscar winning-actress Halle Berry stars in “There’s a Sranger in My House.”

It it, a beautiful successful woman returns home to realize that somebody else has taken over as the house’s new owner.

Sadly, the scene did not come from Berry’s latest summer hit. But it nearly happened to the actress in real life.

TMZ reported Saturday that the potentially traumatic event can be traced down to earlier this year.

A bold plan by 59-year-old Ronald Eugene Griffin of moving into the residence of the X-Men star was put into motion in January, when he allegedly fiddled with the locks, but was caught by Berry’s gardener and ran away.

On March 18, LAPD officers received a radio call of a “trespass suspect” from Berry’s employees.

“Upon arrival, officers were met by employees of the residence, who knew the true property owner of the residence. They reported that suspect Ronald Eugene Griffin was trying to gain entry by compromising the locks of the residence. Suspect Griffin claimed to be the new owner of the residence,” a police report reads.

After speaking to Berry, they conclude that “Griffin had changed the title of the residence without the victim’s knowledge and attempted to forcibly gain entry onto the house.”

Griffin was arrested Thursday with no incidents.

According to TMZ, he didn’t know the house belonged to the actress.
